Bar. Emmanuel Edet is currently an Assistant Director and the Head of Legal Services and Board Matters Unit at the National Information Technology Development Agency. Mr. Edet holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Computer and Telecommunications Law. He started his career as a legal practitioner in Lagos and joined NITDA is 2003 where he has served in various Committees within and outside the Agency.

His expertise includes information technology contracting, outsourcing, electronic commerce, intellectual property, Internet governance and cybersecurity among others. He has served as a tutor for Internet Governance Capacity Building Program and a fellow at the United Nations Office in Geneva.
