The NYIGF is a youth led initiative to facilitate a platform for increasing awareness of Internet governance issues amongst young people in Nigeria, and to bring them into the relevant discussion on a national, regional and global level. In line with the core IGF principles, it is open and inclusive of all Nigerian young people from all Internet stakeholder groups.

Internet that Works for All

The Nigeria IGF is a national initiative of the global United-Nations-convened Internet Governance Forum, which holds annual meetings at different locations around the world. The Nigeria IGF will produce a report detailing the peculiar, regional priorities facing Nigerian stakeholders as well as recommendations and proposed solutions to some of this issues after its annual national forum. This report will then be fed into the global IGF and other interested parties.
